Experience
I believe that many students who struggle in school have the chance to succeed if they receive guidance and assistance. There can be a variety of reasons that cause students to struggle, and I believe that I can help students to overcome these academic challenges. I have wealth of experience from living and working around the US. I grew up in Houston, Texas, and then did my undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Afterwards, I worked at a hospital in Los Angeles through the AmeriCorps program. I recently graduated from DePaul University, Chicago, with my master's degree in biology. I worked as a biology teaching assistant while at DePaul, and helped undergrads with their courses. I've found that many times, students have the potential to really excel at school, but are held back by simply not understanding a core concept. Tutoring can assist those students and help them to achieve their educational goals. I'm qualified to tutor math, algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, anatomy, biology, psychology, and social sciences, along with SAT test prep. When I have free time, I love spending time with family, friends, and my collie, Lincoln. I enjoy traveling, going to movies, reading, and experiencing new adventures.
